"Country to Coast" Shop Hop July 2010

"This is going to be an exciting year for the Extravaganza! As usual, we look forward to seeing your quilts and other projects in the Show – don’t be shy!! We LOVE to see what everyone is working on. For something fun and different we are throwing down the gauntlet – a CHALLENGE!! We’ve made it easy – a small quilted piece with absolutely any technique you like as long as the predominant colours are green and gold. What does that remind you of? Something rural like grass and wheat, the Olympics, mountains and sunset or, or, or….whatever strikes your fancy! Perhaps you are arty and just want to do something abstract. No problems. Won’t it be great to see all the different interpretations when they are hanging together at the Show? The only restriction aside from colour is that the piece has to be between A4 size and A5 size (that is, somewhere between 210mm X 300mm and 300mm X 420mm). Something else that’s different - the running of the Show is now in the hands of a newly incorporated group. Bayside Stitchcraft continues to be a major sponsor of the event, but with a new group and extra people on board we hope to keep it going bigger and better than ever!
